The jury’s commendation
“.SE (The Internet Infrastructure Foundation) is an independent non-profit organization with responsibility for Sweden’s top-domain .se including the registration of (more than one million) .se domain names, and the administration and technical maintenance of the national domain name registry.
Proceeds from the fees charged by the foundation are allocated in their entirety to research, training and education in IT and telecommunications, with a particular focus on the Internet.
The organization is characterized by its executive management who, through their own personal commitment, serve as positive role models for all members of staff that actively participate in the customer-driven advancement of the organization. This is strengthened by a well-conceived and established system for recognition and encouragement.
A well-planned operation based on safe and secure information is conducted through a number of integrated and collaborative processes that are continually improved in consultation with the organization’s customers and suppliers. Several processes show extremely high results, which are confirmed by trends.
The organization can continue to develop the methodology of its process orientation, and fully establish its focus on strategic and individual skills development and on environmental management.
.SE serves as a role model for systematic business development, and has made itself worthy of the Swedish Quality Award 2010 through years of work developing its operations.”
